ARTIST PROOF blasts off in its second season, and releases a lookbook titled, "The Hunt for Digi Denim". Inspired by the 70's era, and lo-fi graphics. AP brings the digital galaxy to Earthlings with an offering of tees, wovens, cardigans, and the brand signature piece for Spring 09, Digital denim.
Artist Proof recently held a gallery event on Aug. 15th at Sullivan Room in New York City, showcasing a sneak preview of the initial season of the brand, as well as showing a gallery exhibition from established artists all over the world. It was bananas!! The exhibition was of Sharky, our brand mascot, and each artist gave their unique individual rendition of the Sharky toy. Each toy was a customized one-of-a-kind piece. It was amazing to see how detailed the toys looked up close. We had people from Complex and Frank 151 magazines on hand to show their support. Also Mimi from Plaztik mag came through and fell in love with the brand. Toyqube owner and Artist Proof creative director Keith Poon organized the event, bringing together the artists that he collaborates with on his toy designs. Overall, the event was a great success.
